Letter to Brothers

Dear Brothers of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta,

On behalf of the Brothers and Pledges of the Delta Colony at Missouri State University, we respectfully submit our petition for chartering. After reviewing our petition, we hope that you will find our efforts and accomplishments over the past 19 months suitable to join your ranks as fully initiated brothers.

Since March 1, 2007 it has been our goal to live out the values of Phi Gamma Delta in our daily actions. Although we have grown to 44 men strong, our brotherhood has strengthened with every man. In our time in Phi Gamma Delta, we each have come to understand that Friendship truly is the sweetest influence.

We have represented the Fraternity in many positive aspects on campus. We have many members in a wide array of student organizations and leadership positions on campus. We are in good standing as an organization at Missouri State and also as a member of the Interfraternity Council. In the Greek community, we have had many accomplishments such as a second place in our first Greek Week competition. Also we raised more philanthropy money than all other fraternities combined. We compete actively in intramural sports, representing the gentleman we are, with positive attitude and good sportsmanship.

With the support of local graduate brothers, we have been even more successful than we imagined. We held our first Pig Dinner last April. On Founders Day each year, we have a dinner to celebrate with the graduate brothers. Also, we hold monthly dinners to spend time with the local graduate brothers.

After reviewing our petition, you should see the love, respect, and commitment that we have for Phi Gamma Delta. We respectfully request your approval of our petition to receive our charter in the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions, please contact John Busch via phone at (618) 340-1860 or e-mail at Busch943@missouristate.edu.

Fraternally,

John Busch
